Someone recently wrote to me
from New England on the Eastern seaboard of the US where one finds
the seat of liberal sentiment, to share with me his concern that
"people in need" in their resentment of those who are more
fortunate than themselves, seem to lose touch with reality - to the extent of wanting to
destroy those for whom they feel jealous - because of the perceived
success and joy of those they resent.
Here in South Africa, this phenomenon is more commonly
seen as a crime wave which has held the nation to ransom.
Sympathetically, it is rationalised to be a result of poverty
which brings people to desperation, such that they don't only steal
for their survival but take pleasure in torturing their victims in
the process. It is also blatantly advertised by individuals on talk
radio stations or political groups as a threat mainly on the whites
of the country. For example, the
Facebook entry of the Pan Africanist Congress recently called
for the killing of whites with additional support from 3000 soldiers
who are willing to assist those who wish to join the movement. At
the time of writing this article (two days after the event) no
success has been had to bring this advertisement to an end. A recent
attempt to bring the scourge of crime and violence to the attention of
the president failed miserably when he refused to acknowledge the
120,000 letters that were sent to him to appeal to him to do
something about it. Small wonder when one considers that he
occasionally breaks out in a call for his machine gun! Even the
leader of the youth movement has called for the death of the
Afrikaaner without a word of criticism from the leaders of this
country!
Is it the surfacing of anger from the struggle against white
oppression? This seems to be the most likely cause on the face of
it, but how does this explain the hatred and anger of blacks in
those countries where whites have not had any influence on their
destiny for hundreds of years? In the wake of the Haitian earthquake
disaster I have heard so many reports of the resentment and blame
against whites who went to assist the destitute, even though for the
past 200 years the Haitians have single-handedly destroyed what was
the second richest exporting nation in the new world when they
slaughtered the French to claim the island as their own.
In the United States today where all its people have been
afforded equal opportunity for a number of generations, there is
still a whole lot of evidence of anger against the whites who seem
to do better than blacks in the economic mainstream. Even in that
progressive nation with the many social facilities in place to
assist and encourage each citizen to be a useful member of the
community, there is still a strong black "cultural" sentiment that spits anger at the whites
- from the political
figureheads to rap musicians and average citizens alike. These people are
living a life envied by the majority of the world's population, yet
they still find it necessary to resent the very people that find
pleasure and respect in seeing them as integral to a thriving
society.
How is it possible that groups of people can be so stupid as
to lower their collective emotional state to that of anger against
other groups of people who really don't care about their anger
except perhaps for a small percentage who belong to secret sects
that are belittled by their own people for the most part? Is there
any way of making an announcement that this whole emotional anger
thing is futile? Surely any mature person can see that the result of
anger and the execution of harm on the next person can hardly lead
to long-term personal satisfaction.
We've seen too many tragic examples of what happens to the
countries where the blacks have succeeded in either killing off the
white populations or driving them out of the land... I don't know of
any country in Africa or the rest of the world for that matter,
where blacks have driven whites out of the land and improved the
standard of living for the citizens of the country. But I can make a
long list where the result has been disasterous!
I fear that I see the name of South Africa being added to that
list if this resentment, hatred and anger isn't addressed soon.
